Very good

I really like this game and I just got back into playing it. I would like to suggest the creation of new units(final fantasy tactics style) and additional weapons, armor and accessories for units.

I love it but the old one looks nicer

I like the older version better because it had retina display and the characters look like they actually look. The enemies cab stay the same but maybe put some effort to make the characters, and the retina display. But still I play this game everyday.

Ok

Add more to it

Considering its reduced price, its a nice game for what you pay for....

Nice game! When I first played this game I was annoyed to find there was no tutorial what so ever. Having played Advanced Wars before for GBA, and this being a turn based strategy game, my instincts quickly kicked in and I eventually grasped the basic idea of how things worked. For those who say they purchased it for $3, that could be a bit much. For a while now, this app has been fluctuating between $1 and free. At worst, this is likely worth $1 to many of you. Im sure its been going to free so the dev can cross promote the 2 sequels that are already out. Im told this game moreso resembles Final Fantasy Tactics or Tactics Ogre series. While Ive never played those, Ive seen screenshots of both to agree with that. The biggest change from Advanced Wars to this was each side takes turns moving one unit at a time, not everything. You start off with the ability to use 2 of the 8 unit types, but once you do enough leveling up of the lesser types of units to unlock the better unit types, youll be using those better ones almost exclusively, and pumping levels into them instead since even though the lesser units take up less "draft points", the better ones are simply worth it, especially when leveled up I am currently on level 68, but there seems to decent variety given the games pricepoint. The levels are played across several types of terrain (e.g. uphill mountain slope, going up to the steps and leading to the roof of a house, green fieds which slope upwards gently), and every now and then, a chessboard for actual map. Theres no storyline, class changing, nor items to equip, but I consider that a tradeoff. It does make the game eaiser and quicker to jump into and play at the cost of some game complexity and depth. It turns out the descpription of the game here on Itunes already has most of the instructions needed to play the game, but again, I still wish these text instructions were included in-game. Many of the levels can get repetitive, but as you beat them 5 or 10 at a time, you see new characters with unique abilities (e.g. Lilith uses an orb to "mind control" one of your units; Chain Slave can teleport up to 3 spots from one place to another, so he can actually "move up cliffs" as if they were passable on foot.)

Best but....

The game is aswome but u cant undo

Crash

It crashes on me after I beat a level, but I love this game! Please fix crashes!

Its over!

Solid game. Played to level 100 to discover whichever characters you choose to take on said level, the game matches those characters (levels and stats too) and pits you against over five times as many enemies. 8 vs nearly 50 equally matched clone enemies?! No thanx!

Absolutely great

Game is real

Love this game

Great game. Best out of the series BY FAR in every aspect.

Just OK but it is free...

This game is reminiscent of Final Fantasy Tactics but not nearly as challenging. There is a decent variety of units to unlock but the AI is pretty poor. I have played through all 200 levels and only recall one level (100) that was truly difficult. I lost maybe 12-15 times total on all the other levels and did not need to upgrade my units after level 125 or so. This says to me that the AI is far too weak and that to complete the game is basically just a grind. But its free, its 200 levels, and the animation is pretty good. So, 4 stars despite the caveats given above.

I liked it, but could have been much better

A fun distraction for a bit, but too many levels of monotony. Levels have varying unit combinations, but after a while you can cruise past levels without needing to switch up your units. No story line, no big boss monster at the end, no way to customize units, no reason to use lower leveled units after new ones become available. I beat all 200 levels and the only thing that kept me going after a while was wanting to see the end. Also, unit balance needs tweaking. I was mixing units, but stopped that once I figured out that if I just used 8 Sorcerers and leveled them up, Id gain a full bar of ether a turn, have 8 units with at least 3 times the HP of enemy units and massive attack power, and be able to use Meteor (full screen massive damage) every 5 turns. And for those nasty magic immunes, 4 orbs gets you a mind control spell that cant be blocked. After that, I tried switching to Knights or Ninjas or something else, but they werent nearly as efficient. Thats not to say the game isnt worth getting and trying out. I got it at $0.99, which I think is a good price for it. Maybe $1.99 if a few tweaks were made to make it less monotonous.

Fun Tactics Game

I love this game. Beautiful graphics, varying maps, decent AI that needs some strategy to best. However, I have a few complaints that justify the 4/5 rating. > No enemy unit information. Why cant we tap an enemy to see their health? > No undo. Why cant we move a unit, see that they arent in range of an enemy unit, then undo and move in range? > Enemy units are unplayable. The units you provide are great, but I would still like the ability to put a Gargoyle on my team. "Get all units to level 50 to unlock the next tier of playable units." All in all, this is a fun game. Dont get me wrong with my complaints - the game is definitely playable and extremely fun. I am simply comparing the mechanics of this game to others such as FFT and Tactics Ogre.

Nice, but easy

I like the game a lot its fun and it is like final fantasy and tactics ogre because I have and beaten both if them and I will tell u the games are hard, but this fame is like it but way easier but its still fun to played

The entire Fortune series is epic. Addicting game play. Every time I get a new I device the first games I get are from Dotomchi. I cannot wait for the next game.

Great game!

Bunch of units and tons of levels. Has upgrading too

Boring......

Yes its like a tactics game, but their no story!!!!! Just stages..... Come on!

Great game

This game has final fantasy tactics feel to it

Good srpg

If you liked fft you will enjoy this game.

This Isnt an SRPG

I dont get the reviews these people are all giving this game. This is not an SRPG. Period. There is no story. Literally NONE at all. If you want a game of continuous monotonous battles for stage after stage for a few minutes of quick fun then its great. This has no RPG elements though. Its just a strategy game and an easy one at that. Its nothing like Final Fantasy Tactics except in the combat style.
